Who is My Garage Drift Team?

Welcome to My Garage Drift Team | Western New York Drift Team

My Garage Drift Team is a grassroots drift team based out of Western New York, built from late nights in the garage, broken parts, and a shared obsession with drifting.

The team started as an idea between friends—Tyler Louanghaksaphone, Zack Smith, and Spencer Gates—who wanted to create something that represented real grassroots drifting in WNY. No egos, no fake flexing—just building cars ourselves, getting seat time, and helping each other progress every time we hit the track.

From BMWs to Mustangs to Skylines, our lineup reflects what grassroots drifting is really about: using what you have, improving it over time, and driving the wheels off it.

Meet the Drivers of My Garage Drift Team

Tyler Louanghaksaphone

BMW E36 LS-Swapped Coupe / BMW E36 M54B30 Sedan

Tyler drives an LS-swapped BMW E36 coupe and is currently building a second drift car—an M54B30-swapped E36 sedan. Always wrenching and refining setups, Tyler focuses heavily on progression both on track and in the garage, embodying the team’s DIY mindset.

Eddy Owen

BMW E36 325i / LS-Swapped E36 Sedan

Eddy drives an E36 325i and recently completed his LS-swapped E36 sedan as a second car. Known for putting in the work and chasing seat time, Eddy represents the grind that comes with grassroots drifting and constant improvement.

Spencer Gates

BMW E46 325i Sedan

Spencer pilots a BMW E46 325i sedan and was one of the original minds behind My Garage Drift Team. Focused on consistency and learning, Spencer brings a steady, reliable approach to drifting and plays a big role in the team’s foundation.

Zack Smith

Nissan R32 GTST Skyline / BMW E46 330ci (6-Speed)

Zack brings variety to the team with his R32 Nissan Skyline GTST, though he currently gets most of his seat time in his 6-speed E46 330ci. As one of the original members behind the team’s creation, Zack blends JDM and BMW platforms while staying locked in on progression.

Chelton Bellinger

SN95 Mustang

Chelton drives an SN95 Mustang, bringing American muscle into the My Garage Drift Team lineup. Loud, raw, and built to slide, his Mustang adds diversity to the team’s builds and driving styles.

Anthony Nichele

BMW E36 328i Sedan

Anthony drives a BMW E36 328i sedan and represents the true grassroots drift mentality—building, learning, and improving with every event while supporting the team on and off track.
